Tyler is an amazing child. A two year old who is continually learning, growing and testing boundaries. He's FULL of constant charisma. I adore watching his incredible characteristics blossom. He's ever changing at this stage. Something new Tyler enjoys is making silly faces. He's such a ham! My mom said I used to do the same thing with my dad when I was a little girl. Now my baby is entertained the same way. I'm thrilled that he delights in the little things (most children are delighted in little things). It'd be excellent if we, as adults, mirrored the fun, goofy nature of children.

gone mobile

Yep! That's right, my little Dyl, the boy has become mobile. He's began the infamous 'army crawl'. I knew it was a matter of days, I wasn't quite sure it would have been so fast. I enjoy watching him follow after brother. He wants to explore everything. I remember what a hectic time it was when Tyler reached this age, but our house is baby proof now, so there's no anxiety or negative feelings. I love seeing him roam.

If you leave a room with out calling for him to follow, he grunts and starts to whine for you. But if you stop and call for him to accompany you in your journey, he smiles and starts inching his way along. He's so fast. It cracks me up when he gets going at a fast pace. You can see the determination in his eyes. What's next for my little speed racer?

paper boy

Tyler received his first newspaper today. How happy he was to shred it into tiny little confetti pieces after receiving it. The paper served it's purpose, although it's life span was rather short. What do you expect when you're made of paper and enter the life of a two year old? The paper had it comin'.

A man came to our front door selling the Sacramento Bee. David let him know we weren't interested. But I guess Tyler thought Daddy was quite wrong. Tyler asked who was at the door and expressed the need to say hello. I figured, why not? We opened the door and I honestly expected Tyler to shy behind David's leg. He didn't! He spoke up and said hello to the man. As Tyler said Hi the man answered back with a kind hello and offered Tyler a paper. I'm guessing Tyler thought, I'm not going to turn down a free paper, I'm no fool. He gladly agree to take a paper off the guy's hands and said thank you. This was when the tragedy began.

I'm guessing this will be the beginning of our little social butterfly. I knew he was in there, fighting to get out. I hope to see MUCH more of him now that he's here.

so close

He wants to crawl. He tries to crawl. So close, but not quite there. Dylan is becoming quite strong. He's growing so fast. He has recently started lifting himself up on all fours. All fours as in elbows and knees. He rocks himself back and forth as if getting momentum to go somewhere. It's so cute. He hasn't done any real crawling so far, but he sure gets around. Just like Tyler did when he was five months, Dylan gets where he wants to go by rolling. It does him well for now but distracts him from crawling. As soon as he gets himself up in the crawling position, he uses his lower body to flip himself over and roll. I guess it'll all just click one day. All of a sudden. Those pictures will be next! But until then I'll sit back and watch him rock back and forth gaining momentum for that big day!

As you can see, Victoria and Tyler, have come up with a new invention. Victoria is Tyler's friend. She was over playing one day and saw his baseball mitt on the floor. I'm not sure if she actually knew what it was, but decided it looked like a pretty nice hat. After she put the mitt on her head, Tyler had to try the other on for size. PERFECT fit!
